I have a great little Beetle, which is in excellent shape, no rust, I have put on a new starter, altenator, wheel bearings, wheel struts, and tires are in new condition. Should need nothing for a safety. I have always kept the car in top notch shape. It is great on fuel. The milage is 296000, but this motor is known to go to 700,000.
